Denise was introduced to massage therapy in 1994 and decided that massage therapy was the field she wanted to invest in.
Since graduating from the Daytona Institute of Massage Therapy in 1995, Denise has explored many avenues of the massage industry. She has worked for chiropractors, owned her own spa and worked in the franchise industry (Massage Heights, Massage Envy and Hand and Stone).
A born leader, Denise has managed up to 45 massage therapists and has overseen several locations. Owning her own business and being part of a management team that takes pride in cultivating, developing and encouraging therapists. It was then at Hand and Stone where she recognized her interest and talent to teach, not only the students new in the massage therapy program with therapeutic “Swedish” massage and the Allied Modalities classes, but also offering CE’s for the licensed massage therapists.
Denise also serves on the Continuing Education Registry Review Panel for the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB). After 20+ years under her belt, Denise continues to have a passion for massage therapy and bodywork, a willingness to train and develop and a love to continue do her best for her clients and students.
Denise is board certified with the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy.
